The Darkroom
Someone once asked me what makes a friend, I surmised that it’s hard to quantify; however extensive shared experience has to be the only measure. After making this film I believe the most important thing is a level of trust that allows us to share something that we would only do in private, a personal truth.
If this is true, Olympus has unreservedly allowed Simeon and I to experience and record something that invites you into what we shared together; into that private space.

The Darkroom is a short Documentary Created, Written and Directed by David Boon
A photographer wrestles with raw emotions and a void in his life after his brother passes away violently. His emotional anguish does not prohibit him from bringing something positive out of the experience. Captured across Iceland and Australia this exploratory documentary art piece shows a journey both mental and physical.
